Wine Advocate: Issue 173, October 2007
The piece de resistance is the 2005 “Minotaur” Shiraz, a glass-coating purple/black colored behemoth. It offers a brooding perfume of wood smoke, truffle, violets, blackberry, and blueberry. This leads to a thick, opulent, mouth-filling, spicy wine that is an infant developmentally. Very intense, structured, and long, it demands 8-10 years of additional cellaring. This hedonistic effort should drink well through 2035.
