Description
With an intense nose of barnyard, coffee, cured meats, mint, cherry and cedar aromas, there is plenty to appreciate when quaffing this Cabernet Franc middleweight from Niagara-on-the-Lake producer Lailey Vineyard. The dry palate offers similar flavours with added fruit notes from blueberries and plums. Medium-bodied with a fruitiness in the mouth and medium tannins. The finish is long, but what lingers is a disjointed bitterness when drunk on its own and, thankfully, is masked when paired with food.
