Marnes Blanches Cremant du Jura Reserve (NV)

Product description

100% Chardonnay, from a single parcel of 55-60 year old vines. Partially fermented in stainless steel before aging over lees for 24 months in barriques. Elegant, long, with notes of stone fruit and citrus.

Domaine des Marnes Blanches was founded in 2006 in Cesancey of Jura, an area characterized by its white marble soil, hence the domaine's name: Marnes Blanches. Eco-certified. All parcels are vinified seperately (a.k.a. ouille by the local) and are aged in stainless steel or neutral cask with minimum use of sulphites.

The winemakers behind it are a couple: Geraud and Pauline Fromont, who both are heavily influenced by Burgundy and Champagne's viniculture and vinification as both studied in Dijon.
