Pierre Gimonnet & Fils Special Club Brut 'Grand Terroirs de Chardonnay' 2015

Product description

This cuvee is the result of a very careful job at all stages of elaboration. The blending, made exclusively with Chardonnay from the Cote des Blancs, is a delicate blend from old vineyards over 40 years old, the oldest were planted in 1911 and 1913. The Special Club is mainly composed of "hearts of each terroirs" of Cramant Grand Cru, completed by Chouilly "Montaigu" and a touch of Cuis 1er cru to bring freshness, signature of Pierre Gimonnet & Fils style.

93 Points - Jeb Dunnuck

A hint of smokiness in the 2015 Champagne Special Club Brut is followed by pithy citrus of grapefruit, white flowers, and bread dough. It has linear and energetic tension, with a long driving finish.

92 Points - Wine Spectator

A vibrant blanc de blancs, with a chalky underpinning and a mouthwatering frame wrapped in the creamy mousse, which carries flavors of glazed pear and tangerine, creamed almond and candied ginger.
