The grapes in this gem come from a parcel of 80+ year old vines owned by Jesus Sastre. The wine was aged 24 months in new French oak. Not many people are familiar with the wines of Vina Sastre but once you've had a glass of the top wines (Regina Vides and Pesus) you will understand why these are some of the finest wines from Spain. The Regina Vides is lush but elegant, layered with fruit, exotic spices, saddle leather and screaming Terroir. On the palate I find very compelling flavours of bbq cherries, blackberry jam, a velvety structure and silky tannin. An amazing wine to just dream away with!
