This evening ZYN will be hosting Mr. Barry Burdeny's fine works of art. Barry has painted impressionistic and abstract renditions of his surroundings for the past thirty-five years. Whether painting the High Arctic, the Prairies or abstracts, Mr. Burdeny uses strong colour and deft handling of light and shadow. Many of his works hang in private and corporate collections in North America and Europe. As you immerse yourself in the artwork, ZYN will be pouring a variety of wines for you to try, along with hors d'oeuvres from Bite, making it the perfect combination! In less than a decade, and producing just one wine from her family’s vineyards on Monte Vulture, Elena Fucci has created a new classic in Italian wine making.
Monte Vulture, a 1326 metre high extinct volcano in northern Basilicata, lends its name to Basilicata’s most significant wine, Aglianico del Vulture. Aglianico has somewhat of a mythical reputation and, as one of Italy’s noble red grapes, is said by many to be the Barolo of the south.
